Are You Ready For The Worst Cars?

What can be considered as the worst vehicles that the automotive world has come to know for this year, 2006? Well, it looks like our questions have been answered for one website, The Truth About Cars (TTAC), has already made their own list of the worst vehicles. The list can be actually found on their very first Ten Worst Automobiles Today . Yes, they are awarding these vehicles and giving them the proper recognition for being the worst.
Judging and deciding which was best named as the worst automobile was no easy task. After all, it was the daily readers of the website who nominated which vehicles were the worst for them. The reasons could vary from being a gas guzzler to having the wrong kind of Ford Pinto auto parts to just being the worst. And after the nominations were over, the whole team of writers for TTAC formed a committee of ten auto writers. These would be the ones who had selected the final twenty. Then, the final ten of these were then posted online and it was the readers again who voted via an electronic poll.
So who has made it to the list? Well, you can read on and find out.
According to TTAC, the Chevrolet Aveo makes its mark as the 10th in the list. The group gives their reason for choosing this one. The reasons do include because it has hollow-sounding doors, bargain-basement plastics, and skinny tires to the course-sounding engine that strains when faced with even the slightest incline.
The list also does include the Lincoln Mark LT which takes the ninth spot because it is a rolling testament to Dearborn s short-term, suicidal reliance on bean-counted engineering.
Places eight and seven belong to the Saab 9-7x and the Subaru B9 Tribeca. The former for its being a Chevy Trailblazer with the ignition key between the seats . As per the Subaru B9 Tribeca, TTAC says that this one is slow, thirsty and cramped which proves that repulsiveness can be more than skin deep.
The rest of the list comprise of (from the sixth down to the top worst vehicle) the Chevrolet Monte Carlo, the Hummer H2, the Chrysler Aspen, the Buick Rendezvous, the Jeep Compass, and GM minivans.

Beat that speeding ticket

Speeding tickets are a safety measure taken for safe driving. Your fast speed may prove to be faster for another person on the road to final upliftment. This may even be allotted to you. Speeding tickets are for saving lives. Are there any strategies for avoiding speeding tickets? How can one take care of this embarrassing situation? There are some ways you can avoid being caught and issued the speeding ticket.
First and foremost thing to consider is to look at the hiding places. Where do police locate themselves to catch the offenders? These are usually behind trees, rocks or on the other side of the hill. You may not know that a patrol vehicle is exactly in front of a truck you are trying to overtake. Ramps are another favorite pace for patrol police to keep an eye. Be careful at the spots where you are unable to see the other side of the road. This is the most suspect place. You are trying to overtake a truck going at the legal speed. Naturally, you will have step the gas to overtake it. This may be a trap for you. You may be intercepted by a police patrol. Another tendency is to switch to the wrong lane to overtake a speeding vehicle. This is a sure shot formula for getting caught.
Although you can t do much about the car color, however a bright color car draws more attention than a run of the mill color. Try to have a normal color car which doesn t draw that extra special attention from the police. There is another trick called rabbit chase. A rabbit is the car which has overtaken you beyond the legal speed. Follow that car keeping respectable distance with close attention on your rear view mirror. The radar equipment will first spot the rabbit car, and you are saved. However, if the patrol police car has spotted the rabbit car, they may have started chasing the car.
If you are wise enough, your observation in the rear view mirror will tell you to speed down a little. The patrol car will overtake you and catch the rabbit. If you are not wise enough, the probability id that the rabbit will go to jungle and you will be dealing with another piece of speeding ticket.Never follow a pattern on lane driving. Try to keep as much on the right side as possible. If you are snaking through the traffic, you are likely to be spotted easily, and you will be entitled for speeding and reckless driving. Ted Belfour is the founder of http://www.speeding-ticket-defense.info and http://www.beat-traffic-ticket.info websites providing information on beating speeding tickets.

Keep Away From Tickets

Speeding is only one way to getting a ticket from those traffic enforcers and traffic authority personnel. That is why it is important that you do know how to follow rules and regulations when you are out driving on the highway or on the streets. You see, tickets could cost you much and could also be added in your records.
Remember that you can only proceed through an intersection if and only if the front part of your vehicle has already entered the area before the stoplight actually turns red. When people say entered the area, it means that the front end of your vehicle has already crossed the limit line, the marked or the unmarked crosswalk line. Most states actually have this ordinance and rule that if the red light changes and your front bumper is already in the intersection, chances are that you would not be getting any ticket for running a red light.
To avoid U-turn violations, you should try turning left somewhere else instead of making this move in a business district or across a traffic island. You should U-turn in a residential area and some highways even allow it. However, you should be cautious to see and check if there is no other car approaching within some 200 feet of your car. If you do not know 200 feet, it could be approximated to around 12 car lengths.
When driving on roads or streets, make sure that you maintain a distance behind that one in front of you. Do not attempt to tailgate. Make sure that the distance between your vehicle and that one in front of you should be equal to around a car length, which is for every 10 miles per hour that you are driving. Not only are you avoiding any kind of ticket, you also are saving yourself and other people from harm.
You should pass another vehicle only in designated areas. This does not mean that you should pass only when there is a solid line in your lane. You should follow this rule for you are in more ways than one not interfering with the safe operation of any vehicle that is traveling in your direction.
For all your auto parts and accessories needs like hubcaps, bumpers or even engine parts, one online store stands unique among the rest where you can get superior quality Land Rover parts. You can go to Auto Parts Online and browse through the store s stock of high quality items.
